Introduction to New Media

The Wikipedia defines New Media as: a field of study that has developed around cultural practices with the computer playing a central role as the medium for production, storage and distribution.

The purpose of this class is to take both a theoretical approach to New Media as well as a practical, hands-on approach. Students in this class we be expected to be both consuming (utilizing) New Media as well as creating their own content in a number of different genres.
